Dick and Vickie Winter and their daughter Diana opened the doors of
'Mama's Kitchen' on the 10th of March, 1987 and their son Dan is on
board now. The name was chosen because we want you to remember how
good the food was when you were young in your Mama's kitchen and your
Grandma's kitchen. The main goal has ALWAYS been to serve food that is
simple and tasty like good old 'Home Cookin'. At 'Mama's Kitchen' you
won't find anything fancy. You won't find anything expensive. But, you
will find great food that taste good. Dick grew up in Texas and Vickie
grew up in Mississippi, so most everything has a little bit of southern
flavor to it. But no matter where you grew up, you'll enjoy the food and the
people. We hope it will remind you a little of your 'Mama's Kitchen'.

Dick says, "I'm not one of those fancy Chefs by any stretch of the imagination. I just know what tastes good to me and that's why it's on the menu.
